The Indonesian Association of Islamic Economists (IAEI) Türkiye conducted a courtesy visit to Menara Syariah PIK 2, a landmark institution projected to become the first and largest Islamic Financial Center in Southeast Asia. Located in the CBD area of PIK 2, Menara Syariah was officially inaugurated through a topping off ceremony by the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, K.H. Ma'ruf Amin, on 23 August 2022. The office complex stands on 23.5 hectares of land and comprises two main towers, the East Tower and the West Tower.
During the visit, IAEI Türkiye and Menara Syariah explored potential collaboration in the development of Islamic economics and finance, including training programs, professional workshops, international conferences, and seminars to strengthen Islamic financial literacy and inclusion.
The two sides also discussed the possibility of establishing an international education program, with its academic headquarters based in Türkiye and a learning center at Menara Syariah in Indonesia. This initiative is expected to create broader opportunities for students, academics, and professionals to engage in international learning, research, and knowledge exchange.
IAEI Türkiye expressed sincere appreciation for the warm hospitality and productive discussion during the visit, and looks forward to strengthening collaboration with Menara Syariah in building a more inclusive, innovative, and globally connected Islamic economic ecosystem.
